Automated Site Map(s) Project
From PTAGISWiki
Contents |
Synopsis
The objective of this project is to bring the operational status of each site to a web page. This page will have a thumb nail of each site's map, a drawing of pipe, gate and raceway configurations. When a user clicks on the thumb nail it will bring up a page displaying the site map for that site. The site map will be animated showing what flumes are active depending on the disposition of the site gates.
Currently approximately 2/3's of the the site gates are monitored by PSMFC via a PLC. The rest of the gates will require monitoring instrumentation to tell the PLC the status of the gate. PSMFC will also be installing level transmitters on the full flow systems so that when there is no water level, state changes due to maintenance or other activity will not get reported.

Current Project Status
The status of the project as of 11:33, 7 May 2010 (PDT)
- A animated site map is in the process of being constructed and configured for MCJ.
- A wireless system is in the process of being configured and installed at JDJ to separate the PRIMARY BYPASS indication from the COE and to provide SITE OPERATIONAL status using a level transmitter that will check for water in the flume every minute.
The status of the project as of 09:42, 21 May 2010 (PDT)
- JDJ's wireless system is installed. The Full Flow On/Off level sensor, Primary Bypass switch and Radio Link Loss have been wired into the PLC. The PLC program has been configured to count the FF On/Off and Radio Link Loss instances and to report Primary Bypass state changes to Multimon. This site is scheduled to be upgraded to Ethernet latter this year. With the upgrade we will be able to email state changes as well as write them to the platform, whether that is Multimon or M4. With the FF On/Off sensor in place we will have the ability to ignore off season state changes due to maintenance activity in the raw file but still have a back up of this information in an email archive.
