Portland District USACE
B2J
Down: Smolt monitoring operations concluded for the season at Bonneville Juvenile Fish Monitoring Facility at 0700 on Friday, 31 October. Full flow PIT tag interrogation will remain active until the 2-mile pipe is dewatered, typically around the middle of December.
Up: The site was watered up for the season on 2/24/08 at 7:00am.
Up: The site was watered up for the season on 3/1/07 at 8:00am.
Down: The Juvenile Monitoring Facility (JMF) was deactivated on Oct. 31, 2006. From the event log: PrimaryBypass (PrimaryBypass) changed from 'CLOSED' to 'OPEN' at 2006/10/31 07:04:02. However, the primary bypass is still active, with water (and fish) passing through the full-flow transport pipe.
Note: The SbyC gate at B2J has been removed from operation for the remainder of the juvenile fish passage season (ends 31 October 2006).
Up: B2J bypass system is tentatively set to be watered up on Monday, 27 February. Smolt monitoring activities, including 24 hour collections and PIT tag interrogation will commence at 0700 on Wednesday, 1 March.
Down: Smolt monitoring operations will officially conclude at 0700 on Friday, 29 October 2005

Up: The Wa shore fish ladder watered up on Monday, Feb 28,05 at 11:15 am. The BO3 data collection computer was not sending data files at that time due to work being performed in the PIT-tag room for the BO4 site. Although data was not being submitted to PTAGIS, the data collection platform was collecting data from all transceivers in the BO3 ladder and the AFF. Transceivers are currently being tuned and calibrated. The PTTP uploaded was re-engaged at 12:30 pm 3/1/05 and files were sent to PTAGIS at that time.System clock are within 4 seconds from each other and lagging the atomic time time by 28 seconds.
Down: The ladder was placed into orifice flow on 11-27. Today (11-29-04) the ladder was de-watered and all reamining fish were removed at 11:30.

Down: Per the Smolt Monitoring Program Weekly Report #24, the juvenile fish collection season ended at McNary on September 14, 2007. The Juvenile Fish Facility was placed in primary bypass at 8AM (PDT). The facility will remain in primary bypass until the turbine diversion screens are pulled in December. PIT tag detection continues at the full flow antennas in the primary bypass.

Some water was leaking into the seperator with a small potential for fish to enter over the weekend. Bulkheads were inserted to stop all water to the seperator on Monday 10/22/2007.
