Genxml

Extract XML from Ingres using the genxml command

From sockeye, it is possible to extract a table into an xml file using a command like this:

genxml ptagis3 rkm -upittag

where:

• ptagis3 = database name ptagis3
• rkm = table name rkm
• -upittag = log into Ingres as user pittag

The output includes metadata about the field definitions and a series of rows. The row output looks like this:
