How can we pass authentication from PTAGIS to wiki?

The PTAGIS wiki is an important component of the PTAGIS site, but at present it has a separate authentication mechanism from PTAGIS.

The wiki can be configured to use LDAP for authentication.

Is there some way to present the ldap user name from PTAGIS to the wiki so we can achieve single sign-in?

We currently use mediawiki 1.5.6 as our base.

I've experimented with ldap authentication and documented it here: Wiki_authentication

The goal is to have the authentication for both PTAGIS and the wiki be managed by the PTAGIS log in page.
