Processing demo
From PTAGISWiki
Processing (http://processing.org/) is a data visualization language based on Java. It should be fairly easy to use this tool to create compelling presentations of pittag data.
One possibility would be to play back a day of detection data throughout the basin by using a TMT file and a site-lookup table with latitude and longitude data. Perhaps it would be more interesting to play back a full year of data. A TMT report with one day is about 4K. The YTD file is about 40MB. Each species could be color coded. It might be reasonable to consolidate the data so that each hour is represented by a proportionately sized colored dot indicating the number of each species detected that hour at a given site.
