Rocky Reach Dam

Rocky Reach Dam, operated by Chelan County Public Utility District, is located on the Columbia River at River Mile 473 (River Kilometer 761), about seven miles north of Wenatchee, WA. Initial construction was completed in 1961. Facilities include a powerhouse, spillway, adult fish ladders, and juvenile bypass system.

RRF - Rocky Reach Fishway
In operation since 2006, this site consists of four weir orifice antennas in the upper section of the fish ladder. See the site diagram and configuration history for details about antenna group location and antenna IDs.

RRJ - Rocky Reach Dam Juvenile Bypass System
The original configuration of this site was in place from 1996 until 2002, and consisted of antenna groups installed in the dam's surface collector, gatewell collector, and the juvenile monitoring facility. The current configuration has been in place since April 2010 and consists of six pass-through antennas located in the flowspreaders of the surface collector's dewatering channels. These antennas interrogate PIT-tagged fish entering the juvenile bypass system.
