Server upgrade

  • Determine names for the two web server machines: bay, jack
  • bay will run management services and normal services
  • jack will only run normal services

That means bay will run the weblogic admin server as well as a weblogic application server, while jack will only run a weblogic application server.

Bay will run Sitescape until it is retired.

Will the wiki move with the rest of the PSMFC web services? It needs to follow the MySQL server.

  • generate new license keys on the new machines
    • Sitescape
    • SREE
    • Weblogic
  • should be no configuration changes to weblogic to eliminate the Sun cluster
  • Sitescape configuration should not change either, just use the config from one machine
  • install latest Weblogic 8.1 SP6 and test against current apps
  • verify that regression tests are up to date
