2006 - 2007 Ladder Outages and PSMFC Work Schedule

The following schedule gives a status of each site, the timeframe for the scheduled outages, work that can be performed, work that needs to be performed along with the disposition of any and all spare antennas for each location.

BO1

Outage Dates

N/A

Work Description

No work to be performed. The ladder will not be De-watered this season. There is one orifice antenna that is failing.

Antenna Status

No Spare orifice antenna. The spare was put into operation two years ago. The damaged antenna would need to be repaired. The slot spares are shared with BO4.
BO2

Outage Dates

12/13/06 - 2/27/07

Work Description PSMFC will inspect all antennas and conduits for damage and build COE work list for repairs as needed. There were no known problem antennas at this site during the past season.

Antenna Status One working Spare 24” x 24” orifice antenna.
BO3

Outage Dates

12/09/06 - 2/1/07

Work Description

PSMFC will inspect all antennas and conduits for damage and build COE work list for repairs as needed. We have had chronic problems with two (2) antennas on the lower part and one (1) on the upper part of the ladder. The old Timer Tag cables need to be removed. Clean and re-seat connectors on all lower antennas. Antennas 11 and 15 (lower) possibly may need to be replaced. Antenna 01 on the upper end is a problem because of the High Voltage line that is running underneath it’s location, the transceiver could possibly be used in another location.

One working 18” X 18” spare orifice antenna.

12/11/06 - 2/1/07

Work Description

PSMFC will inspect the antennas. All conduits or above the water line or encased in concrete.

Antenna Status

One Tall and one Short spare antennas. The antennas are being stored on site in a Conex box.
MC1 Outage Dates 1/2/07 - 1/30/07

Work Description PSMFC will inspect all the antennas and conduits for damage and build COE work list for repairs as needed. Locate and remove or destroy the stray tag that is in the field of antenna 0F.We may need to possibly replace the orifice antenna 0B it has not been drivable since shortly after water up last season. We can try cleaning and reconnecting antenna.

Antenna Status One Spare 26” x 26” orifice antenna. 2 spare Counting window antennas one (1) working and one (1) in need of repair.
MC2

Outage Dates

2/2/07 - 3/1/07

Work Description PSMFC will inspect all the antennas and conduits for damage and build COE work list for repairs as needed. PSMFC will work with COE personnel to get the UHMW shims in the counting window replaced. This should be performed by the contractor.

Antenna Status One spare 23” x 21” orifice antenna. One (1) spare counting window antenna.
ICH (North)

Outage Dates

1/2/07 – 1/11/07

Work Description PSMFC has scheduled with COE personnel that the slot panels be removed so that the ladder can be completely de-water. 1/9/07 has been set for the removal of the panels and inspection. PSMFC will be inspecting the antennas for wear and damage. The Antenna connector J-Boxes will be checked for water.

Antenna Status One (1) spare slot and One (1) spare orifice antenna.
ICH (South)

Outage Dates 1/15/07 – 2/26/07

Work Description PSMFC has scheduled with COE personnel that the slot panels be removed so that the ladder can be completely de-water. 1/17/07 has been set for the removal of the panels and inspection. PSMFC will be inspecting the antennas for wear and damage. The Antenna connector J-Boxes will be checked for moisture and cleared if necessary. Antenna 06 (Slot) has dropped in the amount of current that can be driven through it. We will check the connector and cabling for possible defects.

Antenna Status One (1) spare slot and One (1) spare orifice antenna.

Outage Dates

  • Ladder - 1/2/07 – 2/17/07 – These dates have not been confirmed by Walla Walla District. COE site personnel stated the dates to PSMFC.
  • Trap – 11/21/07 – 3/1/07 – The trap is being modified this season. PSMFC equipment is not involved in the modification.

Work Description

  • Ladder - PSMFC will inspect all antennas and check all Antenna connection J-Boxes for moisture. Any moisture will be removed. To the best of my knowledge the issues with the level sensor have been resolved.
  • Trap - At this point there is no PSMFC involvement in the work that is being done to modify the trap for the upcoming season.

Antenna Status

One (1) Spare Slot and Orifice antenna.
