Driving Directions

  • From Tri-Cities
    • Take US-395 south
    • Take the I-82 E ramp to Pendleton/Umatilla - go 19 miles
    • Take the WA-14 W exit 131 to Plymouth - go 79 miles
    • Turn left onto US-97 - go 2.5 miles
    • Bear right onto I-84 entry ramp - go 64 miles
    • Take exit 40 to Bonneville Dam/Nat'l. Historic Landmark
    • Arrive at Bonneville Lock and Dam

Site History

PTAGIS has maintained the PIT tag detection system at the flow control section of the Bonneville Dam Washington Shore fish ladder since the four vertical-slot antennas were installed upstream of the counting window in 2005. The site went online March 2, 2005 with a Marathon Ever-Run virtual data collection platform. On September 4, 2008 the data collection platform was was replaced with standard MiniMon computers running the Windows Vista OS.
