Plan

  1. Print out each sites Data Highway.
  2. Determine which Red Lions to order.
    1. Go through each site and list the HMI's in place and the enclosure they are in, if a swing out kit is used or if the HMI is surface mounted.
      1. If the unit is surface mounted the panel will have to be replaced or the replacement unit's cut out will have to be bigger then when is currently in place.
      2. If the unit is mounted in a swing out kit then a back panel will need to be ordered and a similarly sized Red Lion unit can be used or a larger Red Lion unit can be used.

Procure

  1. Order Red Lions
  2. Order SLC 5/05's

Program

  1. Program SLC 5/05's
  2. Program Red Lions
  3. Test 5/05's, Red Lions and switch boxes.
  4. Follow the written SOP's, update the SOP's pictures.

Install

  1. Pull Ethernet from each HMI location to the PLC enclosure.
  2. Pull Ethernet from PLC enclosure to Pit tag room.
  3. Install SLC 5/05.
    1. (set sample rate via RSLOGIX500)
  4. Test communication(diversions and PLC Messages)
  5. Install Red Lion HMI
  6. Test Red Lion HMI's.

Train/Document

  1. Train site personnel on how to operate new HMI's.
