Performance Evaluation of PLC Communication Library
- Create specifications for a contractor to develop a communication library for PLC devices within the INtime subsystem.
- Lead a lab-based performance evaluation with actual transceiver devices and custom software to provide accurate reporting and emulate real world environment.
- All performance evaluation must be completed within 30 days of delivery to coincide with final payment due to the contractor.
Complete SxC Requirements and Design
- Review SxC Requirements and get final approval.
See SxC Requirements and Design
- Lead an informal design review.
- Create necessary documentation to capture details for implementing the library.
SxC Implementation
- Fully-functional beta release by the end of 2008.
SxC Performance Evaluation
- Lead lab-based performance analysis of the SxC features per testing specifications.
- Coordinating and developing a plan for a live fish test to be performed before production release of the M4 software in 2009.
Device Communication Support
- Keep MiniMon and M4 device libraries updated.
- Support new firmware releases.
- Support the evaluation of the new FS2020 prototype transceiver.
PTAGIS Technical Support
- Provide technical support for all PTAGIS client applications, including P3, MiniMon, and M4.

Finalize SxC Requirements by February 2007
Complete all requirements for separation-by-code (SxC) features for the M4 project so that development can be started on schedule. Requires:
- Presenting information to the M4 SxC Technical Committee
- Documenting all necessary requirements
- Obtaining the final approval from the Committe
Requirements include:
- SxC.dll
- SxC Manager
- PLC device interface
- SxC performance analysis tools
Project History
Delivery of the Device Library by May 2007
- Provide a production release of the Device.dll library to coincide with a June 2007 M4 "Monitor-Only" production release and a subsequent MobileMonitor 2.0 in August 2007.

- Update B2CC device and skip Ethernet connectivity
- FS1001A status report needs to be verified (I might have more detail on this later)
- FS2001F needs command set for ISO update and support for FDXA tags (I think?)
- Verify FS1001M is working correctly for firmware 1.9.d (which is currently running on lab reader)
- GPS reader needs to create GPSMessages with decimal or double coordinates from NMEA (I think somewhere we might be converting to degrees unnecessarily). Negative numbers symbolize Southern and Western hemispheres in decimal format.
- Complete StatusMessage (diagnostic) and NoiseMessage related properties for FS1001 family devices (and possibly for B2CC reader also). The FS1001 does not include a temperature and field in StatusMessage and property is defined as Nullable (you don’t need to supply a value).
- Implement a method for reader devices to accept raw data (binary and ASCII) from host process (this should be independent of the device connection). This will be used for bypass mode if we use the SxC RTOS subsystem. It will also be useful for testing device parsing via input file without having to make a connection (might consider doing this one up front).
- Consider implementing either robust unit tests for all device types or some sort of regression black-box testing module so that as new firmware is released we can run this black box and verify which commands and messages are still valid and which ones need to be updated.
