As Necessary
Occasionally a user will launch a query that consumes vast quantities of disk space on /usr/arch (and /usr/wrk) on 'blueback'. If Hobbit 'trends' indicate a likelihood that all available space on the file system is going to be exhausted, stepping in to abort the associated query will be preferable. The link below tells how to do this by running DBA_RemoveQRSessions.pl as 'root' on 'blueback' ...
hourly
- watch hobbit
- tail nohup.out on bay and jack
- /usr/local/bea81/user_projects/domains/mydomain/nohup.out
daily
- review recent queries on query metric page
- review error log page
weekly
- review traffic in webstats
