Wells Dam

Wells Dam, operated by Douglas County Public Utility District, is located at River Mile 515.6 (River Kilometer 320) on the Columbia River about eight miles downstream from its confluence with the Methow River. Initial construction was completed in 1967. Facilities include generating units, spillways, a switchyard, and juvenile fish passage facilities combined into a single structure called a hydrocombine; two fish ladders provide upstream fish passage and a hatchery is adjacent to the dam.

WEA - Wells Dam Adult Fishways

In operation since 2002, this site consists of weir orifice antennas in both of the adult fish ladders and pass-through antennas in the flumes leading to the adult fish traps. See the current site diagram and the site configuration history for details on antenna group locations.
