Yakima Basin Acclimation Ponds

The Clark Flat, Easton, and Jack Creek acclimation ponds are part of the Cle Elum Research and Supplementation Facility in the Yakima River basin. Fish from Cle Elum Hatchery are generally moved to the acclimation ponds in January or February and volitionally released starting in mid-March.

PIT Tag Interrogation Site Locations
The Clark Flat acclimation site is located on the Yakima River at River Mile 166.6, about 13 miles southeast of Cle Elum, WA. Easton is located on the Yakima River at River Mile 184.7, about 1.5 miles southwest of Cle Elum, WA. Jack Creek Acclimation Pond is located on the North Fork Teanaway River at River Mile 6.4, about 20 miles north of Cle Elum, WA.

CFJ - Clark Flat Acclimation Ponds
In operation since 2000, this site consists of two pass-through antennas in each of the two flumes leading from the ponds to the river.
